The Mets and Cardinals played in front of a National Television Audience Tonight. The Game went long into the night. For the first Eighteen Innings, the game remained a 0-0 Scoreless Tie!

In The Eighteenth inning, Tony La Russa had pinch hitters Felipe Lopez and Joe Mather pitch! He then moved pitcher Kyle Lohse into the outfield!

The Mets took a one-run lead on Jeff Francoeur's sacrifice fly off Joe Mather, who had walked two batters and hit another to load the bases. But Mather escaped from that jam, and Yadier Molina tied the game on a single to right off Francisco Rodriguez, who blew his first save opportunity of the season.

Jose Reyes, (0-7 on the night, who reached base on a walk from Joe Mather), scored on a sacrafice fly to right to score the 2nd run of the game, in the 20th Inning!

Funny Friday: A Scottish Man Was At A Baseball Game...

A Scottish man was at a baseball game. It was the first time he had ever seen the sport so he sat quietly.

The first batter approached the plate, took a few swings and then hit a double. Everyone was on their feet screaming "Run, run!"

This happened two more times, with a single and a triple. The Scottish man was now excited and ready to get into the game.

The next batter came up and four balls went by. The umpire called "walk" and the batter started on a slow trot to first. The Scotsman, extremely excited now, stood up and screamed, "R-R-Run ye ba$$tarrd, rrrun!"

Everyone around him started laughing so the Scotsman, extremely embarrassed, sat back down. The fan sitting next to the Scotsman noticed his embarrassment, so he leaned over and explained, "He can't run because he got four balls."

The Scotsman immediately stood up and screamed, "Walk with pride, man! Walk with pride!"

I am entering a new chapter in my life, and that will be affecting this blog site. I have become a full time College Student. I will not have time to blog right now. I am going to be putting 100 percent behind my college work.

What does this mean for the blog?

I have asked blog reader JF to become the second author of this blog site. That same love I have for baseball, he has for basketball. And now that the NCAA and NBA are heading down to the wire, the insight he shares will be very interesting.

He's never run a blog before, but I know he's going to do an awesoeme job.

Having a second author sounded much better to me than just leaving the blog untouched for weeks.

To quote the movie John Q:
