Jim Mora Jr Will Coach Seahawks Next Season

The Rumors Are Official: Jim Mora Jr. will become Head Coach of the Seattle Seahawks Next Season.

Mora will become Head Coach in 2009 after four seasons as Defensive Backs Coach of the Seattle Seahawks.

Mora was head coach of the Atlanta Falcons before being fired on January 1,2007. Atlanta, then with Michael Vick at the helm, took Atlanta to the 2004 NFC Championship Game.

Nice Job by the Seahawks by making an in house decision to replace a great Coach in Mike Holmgren. Two weeks after it was announced Jim Caldwell would replace Tony Dungy as Colts Head Coach when Dungy retires, the Seahawks have made a similar announcement with Mike Holmgren and Jim Mora Jr.

Tony Dungy Will Return As Colts Coach Next Season

Tony Dungy is sticking with the Colts.

The team said Monday that Dungy will remain with Indianapolis through at least the 2008 season before turning over the coaching to hand-picked successor Jim Caldwell.
Dungy, the first black coach to win a Super Bowl, spent a week meeting with his family, close friends and trusted colleagues while deciding whether to return for a seventh season with the Colts.

It's the third straight year Dungy seriously considered retiring.

It's good to hear that Tony Dungy will be coming back, for at least this season. He is a classy guy and I'm sure his team, the Colts, are glad he will be back. Jim Caldwell will be prepared to take over, if not the 2009 season, whenever Tony Dungy chooses to retire.
