I didn't think he had it in him to leave the only place he has ever known.
Imagine how Cavs fans have got to be feeling right now. This is worse than "The Drive, The Fumble, Jordan's Shot over Ehlo even."
Cleveland has got to be the most depressed fan base in America right now.

On the Flip Side...Imagine how quickly tickets are going to start flying off the shelves now that we know for sure that LeBron got out of Cleveland.
Tickets for Heat games, already tough to get, will be flying off the web. The new "James 6" Jerseys are going to be a top seller for sure, and Dwayne Wade gets some help in a huge way with Chris Bosh and LeBron James.

The only Cavs games you will see on ESPN now are when LeBron is booed mercilessly when he plays against them.

Think about what LeBron has just done to his fan base in that city. They haven't won diddly squat since 1964, and he was their best chance to win it all. Now that he's gone, what's a Cleveland fan to do?

Report:Pat Riley to step down as Miami Heat head coach

According to FoxSports.com, Pat Riley has scheduled an afternoon news conference during which he is expected to step down as Heat head coach, according to multiple reports out of Miami.

Riley will stay on as team president, according to the reports, a role he had previously assumed along with his coaching duties.

Assistant coach Erik Spoelstra is expected to be named Riley's replacement at the 4 p.m. ET news conference, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

The Heat are coming off one of the most abysmal seasons in team history, finishing with a 15-67 record that matched the franchise's worst.

The record was also Riley's worst in 25 years of coaching. He ranks third in NBA history with 1,210 career victories.

Since winning the NBA title in 2006, the Heat are just 59-105.

Shaq On The Move

Shaquille O'Neal will be traded to the Phoenix Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks once he passes a physical.

How will this trade work out for both teams? For The Suns, they will have to quit "Running And Gunning" when Shaq is on the floor. Shaq dosen't have the legs to run up and down the floor, but he can still clean the glass. This trade also means Amare Stoudemire will move back to his Natural Position of Power Forward. Shaq will be 36 next month and is nursing nagging injuries, and the fact that he may end up slowing down this Suns offense can't be good news for them. I honestly don't think this will be a good deal for the Suns. They could have acquired Kevin Garnett and were in talks with Philly for Samuel Dalembert. To settle on The "Red Giant" form of Shaquille O'Neal is puzzling to say the least.

Shaq still has the desire for that NBA Championship. He Said he felt his career would be incomplete without five rings.

For The Miami Heat, they get to close the book on this dissapointing season. The Heat have the worst record in the NBA (9-37)two seasons after Shaq and D-Wade lead the Heat to the NBA Finals.

The Heat also get one of the best young stars in the league In Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.

Marion asked to be traded over the summer after the the team turned down his request for a three-year, $60 million contract. He also has become disgruntled in recent seasons with the attention directed toward superstars Steve Nash and Stoudemire.

Marion, 29, still is one of the NBA's most athletic forwards who has thrived in the Suns' system. The four-time All-Star is averaging 15.8 points and 9.9 rebounds this season. His scoring average is his lowest since his rookie season in 2000.

A possible snag on the Miami side of the deal is that Marion has one more season worth $17.8 million but can opt out of the contract and become a free agent this summer. He may have to agree to a new deal with the Heat for the deal to be completed.

Banks, 26, has averaged 5.2 points and 1.0 assist as a backup to Nash. After this season, he has three years left on his contract worth a total of $13.4 million.

Shaq has that fire in his belly to run for his fifth championship, but can he stay healthy from now until June?

NBA Demands Replay Of Hawks-Heat Game

For the first time since 1982, the NBA is sending two teams back to the court for a do over.

The Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat must replay the final 51.9 Seconds of their game last month because the official scorer ruled incorrectly that Shaquille O'Neal fouled out, the League said Friday.

The Hawks won 117-111 at home in overtime December 19, but strike that one from the books. For now, playoff contending Atlanta has one less win, while the Heat have one less loss on their hapless record.

Making it a truly miserable day, Atlanta followed up NBA Commmisioner David Stern's decision by losing 102-98 in overtime to the Washington Wizzards.

The NBA Said play will begin before Miami's next visit to Atlanta on March 8th. Play will start from the time after O'Neal's disputed sixth foul, with the Hawks leading 114-111.

The Hawks were also fined $50,000, with Stern ruling the team was "grossly neglegent" in failing to address the mistake.

The Protest is the first granted by the NBA Since December 1982, when then NBA Commisoner Larry O'Brien upheld a request for a replay by the San Antonio Spurs following their 137-132 double-overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Spurs and Lakers finally finished the game in April 1983, with San Antonio winning 117-114.
