The Power Zone Super Bowl XLIII Preview

Congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who both earned the right to go to Tampa, Florida to play in Super Bowl XLIII. The Arizona Cardinals earned the right to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl with a thrilling 32-25 victory over the Philladelphia Eagles. The Pittsburgh Steelers earned the right to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl with a 23-14 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

Key Players on both sides of the ball:
ARIZONA O: Kurt Warner, Cardinals QB: Kurt Warner already has one Super Bowl Ring that he earned when he Quarterbacked the St. Louis Rams with a victory in Super Bowl XXXIV. With a win on Sunday, he will have his second Super Bowl Ring. Kurt Warner, at the age of 34, is the third oldest Quarterback to start a Super Bowl.

Kurt has been well so far in the postseason, playing smart, being patient, not turning the ball over often, and putting the ball in the hands of his playmakers, Edgerrin James, Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Warner also has been helped out when he turns the ball over by this surprisingly good defense.

Kurt Warner needs to play smart, be patient, not turn the ball over, and go deep for his playmakers. Kurt will have to keep this formula working if the Cardinals are to pull the upset

PITTSBURGH D: James Harrison, Steelers LB: Harrison is, no doubt the heart of the Steelers D. Harrison and Troy Polamalu are the Steelers Defensive Playmakers. The Steelers Defense will have to get pressure on Kurt Warner, forcing him to throw the ball before he wants to. Easier said than done.

PITTSBURGH O: Ben Rothelisberger, Steelers QB: Big Ben won Super Bowl XL three years ago. Now the Pressure is on him to do it again for Pittsburgh to win a record Sixth Super Bowl. Big Ben has been making smart decisions and taking advantage of what the defense gives him. Big Ben is going to throw to Hines Ward, Nate Washington, and the rookie Limas Sweed, who will be looking to redeem himself after dropping a sure touchdown catch in the first half of the AFC Championship Game. The Steelers will also be running the ball early and often with Willie Parker.

ARIZONA D: Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie & Antrell Rolle : Arizona CB: The Cardinals Corners will have to knock the Pittsburgh receivers off their routes. Easier said than done.

Coaches: Arizona Cardinals Coach Ken Whisenhunt was the Steelers Offensive Coordinator when the Steelers won Super Bowl XL. After head coach Bill Cowher retired, Whisenhunt was expected to become the new Steelers coach, but he was instead passed on for current Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin. Whisenhunt then took the job as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Whether there is any hard feelings over that or not, the fact that the Arizona Cardinals have a shot to win the Super Bowl Is Absolutely Incredible.

Special Teams: If the offense and defense are neutralized, Special Teams is going to be how the Super Bowl will be won. Will the Cardinals Special Teams squad be able to contain the Steelers speedster, Santonio Holmes? Will the Cardinals be able to score points when they get down into the goal line? Or will they have to settle for field goals from the very good Neil Rackers?

I can't wait for the Super Bowl. I Watch The World Series and the NBA Finals, but the only Sporting Event I Record every season is The Super Bowl. This will be my eighth year recording the Super Bowl. The first Super Bowl I Recorded was Super Bowl XXXVI, when the New England Patriots pulled off the biggest upset since Super Bowl III.

Ben Rothelisberger has had the clock ticking for his chance at a second ring for the last two seasons. Kurt Warner’s chance to win a second Super Bowl will close after this game, because I think he has his mind set on retiring after this game.

Can The Cardinals win the Super Bowl? No doubt about it. There are a lot of people out there underestimating the Cardinals.

Knowing the Super Bowl, anything is possible, and that is why everybody loves to watch it, even if they watch just for the commercials.

Prediction: Both Kurt Warner and Ben Rothelisberger to rely on the running game early. They both could rely on the short passing game to help build up their confidence. The Steelers Front Four will have to stop Edgerrin James and Larry Fitzgerald. Ditto with The Cardinals defense having to contain Willie Parker and Hines Ward while also getting Pressure on Ben Rothelisberger. Once Again, easier said than done.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to win a record sixth Super Bowl to “win one for the other thumb.” The Arizona Cardinals are trying to end the longest title drought in NFL History,

My Pick Is:
PITTSBURGH OVER ARIZONA

Cardinals Stun Cowboys in OT

The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Dallas Cowboys in overtime on Sunday. The Cardinals scored in OT on a blocked punt, the first time that has happened in league history.

Wow! What an incredible finish! That was the best game of all on Sunday! What a finish! A Blocked punt to end the game!

Week Two NFL Preview

In your Week Two NFL Preview, Matt Cassel, the new Patriots Quarterback, takes on Brett Favre, the old Savvy NFL Veteran.

Sorry folks. I didn't have time to put up my week One NFL Preview, so I just put up my picks instead. I finished 8-7 in Week One. I'll try to do better this week.

SCHEDULE NOTE: THE RAVENS-TEXANS GAME WILL NOT BE PLAYED THIS WEEK DUE TO HURRICANE IKE. IT HAS BEEN MOVED TO WEEK TEN DUE TO THE DAMAGE TO RELIANT STADIUM.

EARLY GAMES 1:00 PM EST

Bears At Panthers
Both of these teams are coming off upset victories. Matt Forte ran all over the Indianapolis Colts defense and spoiled the debut of the new Lucas Oil Stadium.

Both defenses will limit the effectiveness of the opposing offenses. Whoever capitalizes on turnovers most will win this game.
BEARS OVER PANTHERS

Titans At Bengals
With an injured Vince Young, the Titans will turn to the veteran gunsliger Kerry Collins. If the Titans can stop the passing attack of Carson Palmer, they will win this game. That's a huge if, however.
BENGALS OVER TITANS

Packers At Lions
Aaron Rodgers Monday Night Football debut was a success. He did his first of many Lambeau leaps in the Monday Night win against the Vikings. The Detroit Lions lost their first game of the season against Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons.

Both Rudi Johnson and Ryan Grant could have big days against the opposing defense. If this game comes down to the passing game, Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson could have a couple of big yardage days.
LIONS OVER PACKERS

Bills at Jaguars
The Bills had a huge Week one. Roscoe Parrish had a huge return for a touchdown that broke the game open against the Seahawks, which the Bills won. The Jaguars lost 17-10 to the Titans.

The Bills looked good in week one. I think Marshawn Lynch and Maurice Jones-Drew will have two huge games.

JAGUARS OVER BILLS

Raiders At Chiefs
Both of these teams lost their Week One Games. The Chiefs lost to the Patriots 17-10. The Raiders lost to the Raiders 42-14.

Darren McFadden and Larry Johnson could tear up the opposing defense and the field.
CHIEFS OVER RAIDERS

Colts At Vikings
How funny. I picked these two teams to meet in the Super Bowl, and they are meeting each other in the second week of the season. If the Colts defense had trouble against Matt Forte, how much more trouble will they have against Adrian Peterson? Peyton Manning looked incredibly rusty in his loss to the Bears. Colts fans hope that Peyton will get his rhythm back this week.
VIKINGS OVER COLTS

Giants At Rams
The Giants looked solid in their week one debut. You would never have known the Rams were even on the field the way the Eagles blew them out in week one. The Rams have problems that will take more than a week to fix. The Giants will blitz early and often. Will the Rams be ready?
GIANTS OVER RAMS

Saints At Redskins
The Saints will be without Deep Threat Marques Colston. Drew Brees and Jason Campbell could engage in a Quarterback Duel. The team that makes the least mistakes will win.
REDSKINS OVER SAINTS

4:05 PM EST GAMES

49ers At Seahawks
Both of these teams lost in Week One. The 49ers were beaten by the Cardinals, while Seattle lost to the Bills. Alex Smith's season is over. Expect Frank Gore to be even more of a factor in this game. How will Jullius Jones fare? If this game comes down to the passing game, Seattle should win.
SEAHAWKS OVER 49ERS

Falcons At Buccaneers
Last Week, Matt Ryan had the greatest debut any Quarterback could ever have. Matt Ryan threw a 64 yard touchdown pass in the first pass he ever threw. The Buccaneers lost to the New Orleans Saints. Jeff Garcia may not play in this game.
FALCONS OVER BUCCANEERS

4: 15 PM EST GAMES

Dolphins At Cardinals
Last Week, Chad Pennington faced his old team and was outdueled by Brett Favre. Will he get outdueled by another Ginslinger, Kurt Warner? Warner made smart decsions in the Cardinals win over the 49ers. I'll go with Arizona. Their passing game could give them the edge in this game.
CARDINALS OVER DOLPHINS

Chargers At Broncos
The Broncos beat down the Raiders in their Week One win. The Chargers lost the game on the final play, as Jake Delhomme threw the game winning touchdown pass. Shawne Merriman will not play this season after all. LaDanian Tomlinson didn't have a big game against the Panthers, and I don't expect him to have one against Denver either. This game has two great young Quarterbacks in Jay Cutler and Phillip Rivers going head to head. If this game comes down to the running game and special teams, San Diego will win. If this game comes down to the passing game, Denver should win.
CHARGERS OVER BRONCOS

Jets At Patriots (The Game Of The Week)
This game should be fun to watch. You have Brett Favre, the experienced veteran taking on Matt Cassell, who will the Patriots Quarterback for the rest of the season now that Tom Brady is out for the season. Cassel was criticized for his play in Preseason. Patriots fans better hope he steps it up in the regular season, or New England could be in trouble.

I remember what I wrote in my blog after Brett Favre joined The Jets:

"The Patriots won't go 16-0 again this season. "Broadway Brett" will make sure of it."

I said that a month ago, and I stand by that now. The Jets will beat the Patriots.
JETS OVER PATRIOTS

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
BROWNS AT STEELERS
The Steelers impressed in their Week One debut. The Browns did not. Willie Parker rushed for three touchdowns against the Texans, while Jamal Lewis was shut down by the Cowboy defense. The Browns defense will have to stop Willie Parker if they want to win this game. Ben Rothelisberger could be poised for a big day through the air.
STELLERS OVER BROWNS

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
EAGLES AT COWBOYS
Donovan McNabb destroyed the Rams in Week One. Tony Romo survived against The Browns. Marion Barber bruised his ribs in Week One, so expect to see more of Felix Jones this season. He looked really good in his NFL debut. His first NFL Carry was a rushing touchdown. The Cowboys defense will have to blitz McNabb and force him to move around in the pocket. The Cwoboyswill also have to contain Reggie Brown, who looks great after one week.

The fact that the NFC East has two potential playoff contenders and the Super Bowl Champions is proof that the NFC East is the toughest divison in the NFL.
COWBOYS OVER EAGLES

Enjoy The Games Everyone!

Kurt Warner Named Cardinals Starting Quarterback

When Arizona plays division rival San Francisco September 7th, Kurt Warner will be the starting quarterback.

Here's Coach Ken Whisenhunt talking about the difficult decision.

That's a great call by coach Ken Whisenhunt. I've always been a Kurt Warner fan. He's one of the greatest sucess stories in NFL History. I've never been a Matt Leinart fan. To me, it looks like he thinks that everything should be given to him.

Kurt Warner threw for the most 300 yard games last season. Arizona would have been better than 8-8 if their defense had improved.

Can Kurt Warner finally lead the Cardinals to a place they haven't seen in Ten Seasons, the playoffs? If San Francisco falters again, that could become a possibility.

Week Twelve NFL Preview

Randy Moss and the New England Patriots face off against the Philladelphia Eagles, who will be without Donovan McNabb, on Sunday Night Football.

Here is your Weeek Twelve NFL Preview. Some of the Games from week twelve were settled on Thanksgiving Day, so, if you missed any of it, here's a recap.

Brett Favre led his Packers to victory over their division rival Detroit Lions 27-26.

Tony Romo led the Cowboys to victory 34-3 over the New York Jets.

Peyton Manning and the Colts won a Brutally Sloppy Game in Atlanta 31-13.

I went perfect on my Thanksgiving Day Picks. And Now, the rest of Week Twelve NFL Action awaits us.

Buffallo At Jacksonville 1:00 PM EST
Jacksonville is coming off a win over the San Diego Chargers. The Bills are coming off a 46 point Beatdown to their Division Rival Patriots. I'll go with Jacksonville, but Buffalo has not layed down this season.
JACKSONVILLE OVER BUFFALLO

Houston At Cleveland 1:00 PM EST
Both of these teams are coming off upset victories. Mario Williams won this version of the debate of "Who Really Should have gone Number One in the 2005 draft?" with his performance as the Texans beat The Saints. Cleveland is coming off an unbelievable and improbable win against the Ravens in which Phil dawson's Game tying 51 Yard Field Goal bounced off the left upright, then hit off the center crossbar, before coming to rest on the field. The Ravens walked off the field. They thought they won the game. A conference with the officials and the call was overturned.
Don't Believe Me? Watch The Video!

Cleveland went on to win 33-30 in Overtime.

Both of these teams have Moentum. Cleveland has more. Obviously. When An Improbable like that happens, many Sports fans look to the heavens. I'll go with Cleveland Over Houston, but I don't think we will ever see a kick like that ever again.
CLEVELAND OVER HOUSTON

Minnessota At New York Giants 1:00 PM EST
If Adrian Peterson starts, Minnesota's chances to win improve dramatically. The Vikings beat a bad Raiders team, and Chester Taylor had almost 200 yards rushing. The Giants beat the Lions last week, starting their two game losing streak. I'll go with New York over Minnesota.
NEW YORK GIANTS OVER MINNESOTA

New Orleans At Carolina 1:00 PM EST
Both of these teams are coming off losses. New Orleans lost to the Texans, and Carolina lost to the Green Bay Packers. One of these team's losing streaks is going to end.
NEW ORLEANS AT CAROLINA

Oakland At Kansas City 1:00 PM EST
A big AFC West Rivalry. Kansas City needs a win to keep pace with Denver for the AFC West lead.
KANSAS CITY OVER OAKLAND

Seattle At St. Louis 1;00 PM EST
I'll pick Seattle Over St. Louis. Sean Alexader and Steven Jackson will be equally competing for rushing yards,
SEATTLE OVER ST.LOUIS

Tennesee At Cincinnatti 1:00 PM EST
The Titans and Bengals are both coming off two straight losses. Vince Young can be dangerous if his line protects good for him. Same with Carson Palmer. I'll go with Tennsesee over cincy.
TENNESEE OVER CINCY

Washington At Tampa Bay 1;00 PM EST
Tampa Bay beat down Atlanta last week. Washington lost to the Cowboys last week. Tamoa Bay beats The Redskins.
TAMPA BAY OVER WASHINGTON

San Francisco At Arizona 4:05 PM EST
This is a big NFC West Rivalry. If Arizona beats the 49ers, they keep their Playoff Hopes Alive. Arizona wins.
ARIZONA OVER SAN FRANCISCO

Denver At Chicago 4:15 PM EST
This is a meaningless game. I said Chicago had to win last week against the Seahawks to keep hope alive. They didn't win. The Bears and Broncos are both out of the playoffs. I'll pick Chicago because they're at home.
CHICAGO OVER DENVER

Baltimore At San Diego 4:15 PM EST
Nothing has gone right for the Ravens this season. They will not make the playoffs this season. San Diego will also be on the outside looking in. I'm going to hype up the match like this: Last Year, these two teams were expected to meet up in the Playoffs.
SAN DIEGO OVER BALTIMORE.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Philly Vs New England (The Game Of The Week) 7:15 PM EST
Randy Moss and the New England Patriots face off against the Philladelphia Eagles, who will be without Donovan McNabb, on Sunday Night Football. Philly has no chance to win. New England wins again.
NEW ENGLAND OVER PHILLADELPHIA

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Miami vs Pittsburgh 7:30 PM EST
Ricky Williams may be eligible for this game. John Beck gets his first start under the lights. The Whole Nation gets to see how bad the Dolphina are. Steelers win.
PITTSBURGH OVER MIAMI

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Week Ten NFL Preview

Peyton Manning leads The Colts into San Diego to take on The Chargers.
Atlanta At Carolina 1:00 PM EST
Both of these teams are hurting at the quarterback spot. Atlanta is coming off a victory over San Francisco last week. I'll go with Carolina because they are at home, but this will be one ugly and brutal game for both sides.
CAROLINA OVER ATLANTA

Buffalo At Miami 1:00 PM EST
Miami just can't catch a break or a win this season. Buffalo has played well
the last two weeks, and I expect it to continue here.
BUFFALO OVER MIAMI

Cleveland at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM EST
Pittsburgh has been on a roll and they can't be stopped. Pittsburgh wins.

Denver at Kansas City 1:00 PM EST
This is a big AFC West matchup. Denver is coming off a 49-7 loss to the Lions. Kansas City wins.
KANSAS CITY OVER DENVER

Jacksonville At Tennesee 1:00 PM EST
A Big AFC South matchup. The Jags will be hurting from the suspension of John Henderson. Tennesee wins the game.
TENNESEE OVER JACKSONVILLE

Minnesota At Green Bay 1:00 PM EST
This is Adrian Peterson's first game since racking up 296 yards rushing against the San Diego Chargers. Green Bay has played well enough to be at the top of the NFC North, with Detroit slightly behind them. If Minnesota does well on the ground, they win the game.
MINNESOTA OVER GREEN BAY

Philladelphia At Washington 1:00 PM EST
A Big NFC East Rivalry. The Eagles really have nothing to play for since they are theoretically eliminated from the playoff hunt. Washington wins.
WASHINGON OVER PHILLY

St. Louis at New Orleans 1:00 PM EST
The Saints are on a roll. After losing their first four games, they have won their last four to get back to a respectable .500. The Saints will now get above .500, as they will keep the Rams winless.
NEW ORLEANS OVER ST. LOUIS

Cincinnatti at Baltimore 4:05 PM EST
Two AFC North teams who will play hard because this is a divisional game, if not for anything else, as both of these teams are currently dead in the water. I go with Cincinnatti because the only team that has played more incosistently than them is the Ravens.
CINCY OVER BALTIMORE

Chicago At Oakland 4:15 PM EST
If the Bears don't beat The Raiders, that will officially cause the Bear fans to "Wailt till next year." Chicago Sports fans just can't catch a break. The Bulls and Bears have stumbled out of the gate early and are trying to rebound. The Bears don't play an 82 game schedule like the Bulls do. The Bears are still alive, if just by a thread. That thread is gone if they lose against The Raiders.
CHICAGO OVER OAKLAND

Dallas At New York Giants 4:15 PM EST
This is a Big NFC East rivalry and the stakes are raised because the winner of this game will lead the NFC East. I'll go with The Cowboys, although they have not really had a game to prove themselves in since their loss to The Patriots. Dallas wins.
DALLAS OVER NEW YORK GIANTS

Detroit At Arizona 4:15 PM EST
Detroit slaughtered a mediocre Broncos team 49-7. Imagine what happens when they beat an even worse Cardinals team.
DETROIT OVER ARIZONA

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Indianapolis At San Diego 8:15 PM EST *THE GAME OF THE WEEK*

This is Indy's first game since their 28-24 loss to the Patriots last week. This is San Diego's first game since Adrian Peterson ran all over them for 296 yards. Both of these teams have chips on their shoulder. Both have something to prove. I think this game will come down to how well the defense responds when the other team is on the field. If San Diego cannot get pressure on Peyton Manning, they're in trouble. If Indy cannot stop LaDanian Tmlinson, they're in trouble. I'll go with Indy to win this game, but the absense of Marvin Harrison will hurt the Colts in the passing game.
INDY OVER SAN DIEGO

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
San Francisco At Seattle 8:30 PM EST
A Big NFC West matchup. Both of these teams have been underperforming. I'll go with Seattle because they're at home.
SEATTLE OVER SAN FRANCISCO

Enjoy The Games on Sunday!

Week Six NFL Preview

Tom Brady leads the undefeated New England Patriots into Dallas to take on the undefeated Cowboys.

Week Six of the NFL Season is about to get under way. Here's a preview of every game with analysis and a pick of the winner.

UPDATE: THIS BLOG POST WAS UPDATED MONDAY, OCTOBER 15TH, WITH ALL THE SUNDAY SCORES.

EARLY GAMES

CINCINNATI AT KANSAS CITY 1:00 PM EST
Cincinnati is coming off their bye week. They lost to the Patriots two weeks ago on Monday Night Football. Kansas City is coming off a loss to Jacksonville. Kansas City has just not looked good this season. They are a shell of themselves both offensively and defensively. Kansas City made the smart move in getting rid of Trent Green, but Damon Huard has struggled for the Chiefs. The Chiefs may bring in Brodie Croyle near the end of the season if they fall out of playoff contention. Cincinnati is also falling apart. Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson were both yelling at each other during the Monday Night game after Johnson quit on a route he was supposed to run. This really is a toss up. I'll go with Kansas City because they are at home. If Rudi Johnson is not back for the Bengals for this game, that should wrap up the victory for the Chiefs.
KANSAS CITY OVER CINCINNATI

KANSAS CITY DEFEATS CICNINNATI 27-20.

HOUSTON AT JACKSONVILLE 1:00 PM EST
This is always a big AFC South matchup. This matchup for Houston isn't quite as big as Indy vs Houston, but it's up there on it's own. Fred Taylor may miss the Houston game. Travis Johnson should have been fined for his comments about Trent Green last week, but he apologized for his comments later and that may be why he wasn't fined. David Garrard has really good for Jacksonville. This is another toss up. If Houston has to depend on Kris Brown to kick five field goals for them this week, Houston will be in trouble. I go with Houston, but only if they start scoring touchdowns when they get in the red zone.
HOUSTON OVER JACKSONVILLE

JACKSONVILLE DEFFEATS HOUSTON 37-17.

MIAMI AT CLEVELAND 1:00 PM EST
Miami is winless this season. The Browns are coming off a loss to the Patriots last week. Cleveland will win this game they are at home, and because Miami has just not been able to get anything going right for them this season.
CLEVELAND OVER MIAMI

CLEVELAND DEFEATS MIAMI 41-31.

MINNESOTA AT CHICAGO 1:00 PM EST
Chicago is coming off a last minute victory over the Packers on Sunday Night Football. Minnesota is coming off a bye week. Two weeks ago, the Vikings secondary watched helplessly as Brett Favre became the all time leader in touchdown passes and pass attempts. Minnesota vs Chicago is always a big NFC North Rivalry, no matter where they are in the standings. Ironically, Chicago and Minnesota rank second to last and dead last, respectively, in season record. Chicago may have saved their season with their victory over Green Bay. Chicago will keep the good times as they will beat Minnesota.
CHICAGO OVER MINNESOTA

MINNESOTA DEFEATS CHICAGO 34-31.

PHILADELPHIA AT NEW YORK JETS 1:00 PM EST
Two weeks ago, at The Meadowlands, The Philadelphia Eagles were destroyed by the Sack Machine of the rabid New York Giants defense. Michael Strahan became the all time sack leader in Giants History, passing Lawrence Taylor. Philadelphia has not played a game since then, as they are coming off a bye week. The New York Jets are coming off a victory against their rival New York Giants Last Sunday. This game really could go either way. If Donovan McNabb has a good game, Philly wins this game. Chad Pennington has struggled this season as the Jets Quarterback, and he may soon be replaced by Kellen Clemens if he keeps struggling. I go with the Eagles because the Jets have just not looked that good this season.
PHILLY OVER NEW YORK JETS

PHILLY DEFEATS NEW YORK JETS 16-9.

ST LOUIS AT BALTIMORE 1:00 PM EST
The Ravens will win against the winless St Louis Rams. The Rams are just one big train wreck right now, and they are not able to stop the bleeding. Baltimore wins.
BALTIMORE OVER ST LOUIS

BALTIMORE DEFEATS ST. LOUIS 22-3.

TENNESSEE AT TAMPA BAY 1:00 PM EST
Tampa Bay is coming off a loss to the Colts. Tennessee is coming off a win against Atlanta. Vince Young struggled in last weeks game against Atlanta, but the defense bailed him out, as they made the play of the game by returning an interception for a touchdown. Vince Young's struggles may continue this week, and the defense will have to be able to bail him out. I go with Tennessee because their defense will bail Vince Young out if he gets into trouble.
TENNESSEE OVER TAMPA BAY

TAMPA BAY DEFEATS TENNESEE 13-10.

WASHINGTON AT GREEN BAY 1:00 PM EST
Washington is coming off a win over Detroit. Green Bay is coming off a loss to their rival Chicago. This is another toss up game. I go with Washington because they have the Hall Of Fame Coach in Joe Gibbs, and Jason Campbell has really looked like a star under center under Washington.
WASHINGTON OVER GREEN BAY

WASHINGTON DEFEATS GREEN BAY 17-14.

LATE GAMES
CAROLINA AT ARIZONA 4:15 PM EST
If David Carr does not start this game, this becomes the battle of the Old-Timers. The forty-four year old Vinny Tstaverde taking on thirty-six year old Kurt Warner. The Panthers are coming off a victory over the New Orleans Saints. The Cardinals are coming over the Rams. Kurt Warner will remain the starter for the rest of the season after Matt Leinart broke his collarbone in the game last week. This is another toss up. I'll go with Arizona. Arizona looked pretty good against Pittsburgh, and they may look good against the inconsistent Panthers. This game will be a good Old-Timers Quarterback duel if Testaverde starts.
ARIZONA OVER CAROLINA

CAROLINA DEFEATS ARIZONA 25-10.

NEW ENGLAND AT DALLAS 4:15 PM EST The Game Of The Week
Tom Brady leads the undefeated New England Patriots into Dallas to take on the undefeated Dallas Cowboys. This is one of the games I was looking forward when the schedule was first announced. The Patriots are coming off a victory over Cleveland. The Cowboys are coming off an amazing last second victory over the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. What did the Dallas game teach me about America's Team? Here's some things I saw about this game.

This Cowboy Team is a very resilient, refusing to give up.
This Cowboys team could have easily caved in when Tony Romo's first two interceptions were returned for touchdowns, but they didn't. They could have given up when Romo threw his fifth interception and fumbled the ball in the fourth quarter, but they didn't. This Cowboy team refused to give up. Terrell Owens was the sidelines encouraging Tony Romo, telling to not give up. Romo did not give up and this team did not give up, even when it seemed that Murphy's Law was in full effect. Everything that could go wrong for the Cowboys seemingly did, but this Cowboy team refused to give up and that's why they won the game.

We May be seeing a new Terrell Owens, at least for one week.
As I mentioned above, Terrell Owens remained positive throughout the whole game, refusing to give up. Terrell Owens did something he has never done before, he skipped a press conference and left for the reporters saying he didn't want to talk about the game, telling the reporters in the note to "Getcha Popcorn Ready." Terrell Owens is remaining positive about his team and his quarterback, and hopefully he does well on the field as well.

Terrell Owens will be going up against Rodney Harrison, the best safety in the NFL. I cannot wait for the New England-Dallas Game. To all of you who are saying "Dallas has no chance to win this game" remember that Dallas knocked off an undefeated team last season at Texas Stadium. The Cowboys defeated the Indianapolis Colts last season. I'm gonna be honest, I did not pick Dallas to win that game last year, but they did. I'm also not picking Dallas to win this Sunday, but they are good enough to use all of the lessons from the Buffalo game to pull the upset.
NEW ENGLAND OVER DALLAS

NEW ENGLAND DEFEATS DALLAS 48-27.

OAKLAND AT SAN DIEGO 4:15 PM EST
California fans are really mad that they will not be able to see the New England-Dallas game. Instead they will watch two mediocre teams go at it. San Diego is coming off a beatdown of the Denver Broncos. Oakland is coming off a bye week. Two weeks ago, Daunte Culpepper was a one man show for the Raiders as he passed for two two touchdowns and ran for three more as Oakland defeated the winless Miami Dolphins. I'll go with San Diego for this game, Daunte Culpepper will not have a week like that again.
SAN DIEGO OVER OAKLAND

SAN DIEGO DEFEATS OAKLAND 28-14.

SUNDAY NIGHT
NEW ORLEANS AT SEATTLE 8:30 EST
Shaun Alexander faces off against Reggie Bush. The Seahawks play the winless Saints. Seattle wins.

NEW ORLEANS DEFEATS SEATTLE 28-14.

MONDAY NIGHT
NEW YORK GIANTS AT ATLANTA 8:30 EST
Will anybody that shows up to this game make their face visible? Will the Falcons Fans have to put paper bags over their heads in shame of how their team is doing? Giants win Monday Night.

Enjoy the games on Sunday! There is one Baseball Game on Sunday Night. Game Three of the National League Championship Series, Diamondbacks vs Rockies, is on. Livan Hernandez pitches for the Diamondbacks, who trail 0-2 in this series. Josh Fogg pitches for the Rockies, who are at home in this game. I'll be watching this game instead of the Sunday Night Football Game. I'll pick a winner to this game too, just because I want to.
COLORADO OVER ARIZONA.

Season-ending elbow surgery for Delhomme

Jake Delhomme isn't the only Quarterback who may be out for a while.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme will miss the rest of the season after deciding to undergo surgery on his right elbow.

Coach John Fox said Monday that Delhomme had trouble throwing the ball earlier in the day. Delhomme then made the decision to have surgery next week.
Delhomme sustained what the team called a strained right elbow when he was sacked in Carolina's win over Atlanta on Sept. 23. David Carr replaced him the last two games, when Delhomme was listed as the No. 3 quarterback as he considered whether to have surgery.

Delhomme was off to a good start. He had completed 64 percent of his passes with eight touchdowns and one interception.

The move leaves the Panthers in need of another quarterback. Carr suffered a back injury in the Panthers' win over New Orleans Sunday and his status for next week's game at Arizona is uncertain.

There are so many quarterbacks out with injuries. Jake Delhomme, Matt Leinart, Trent Green. Green was injured on a nasty move by Travis Johnson kneeing Green in the helmet after Green tried to throw a block for Ronnie Brown. Leinart broke his collarbone on a sack by Will Witherspoon, meaning that the "Rotating Quarterback" system in Arizona is over, at least for now. Kurt Warner will once again become a starting quarterback.Delhomme was injured when he was sacked in Carolina's win over Atlanta on Sept. 23.

These injured quarterbacks had better hope their backups do a good job of keeping the seat warm for them, or their team's season may go down the tube with the injury.
